Accessibility has become an important factor in web design, as organisations like the RNIB have started to take legal action against companies with accessibility problems under the Disability Discrimination Act for failing to make their sites accessible to people with visual impairments.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are an effort to establish guidelines for useable accessible sites.

Bighorse Design Policy
We design our sites to provide the highest amount of accessibility we can. Although a site does not have to be 100% accessible, we take every effort to make sure our sites meet as many standards as possible. Particular designs and styles of site do effect accessibility and so we do our best to design around these limitations. New software has allowed us to test our sites prior to publishing to check for problems and help correct them. If you have any particular issues about the accessibility of your site you should discuss these with us prior to the start of your job.
